Hello, welcome to my blog, judging from the name you can probably guesstimate what is in store for you. The theme of the series of blog entries that will be featured here will fall within the categories of art, design, and ideation industries. The reason behind this is because these are the areas in which I am not only passionate about but also have knowledge and experience.
The main reason for starting this blog is to offer a ‘fRESH,’ perspective on how the world, its system and society as a whole may tend to benefit from the consideration and adaption of user experience design (UXD), human-centred design, ideation and design thinking principles in all areas of life.

A term that has recently come to my attention is social design. Social design consideration intends to counteract some of the social issues that we are currently facing globally. Social issues and phenomena such as climate change, immigration, poverty, cybercrime and terrorism are said to be caused by the complexity of socio-technical systems (Herkkert & Tromp, 2019, p.1). These social issues may not have a direct impact on you or your home country, however, due to globalism, there is no way in evading the ripples that come from these.
This is why a blog such as this one, is necessary. The role of artists and designers, now more than ever need to absorb that of a humanitarian. The art and design industries do have an added responsibility of influencing and creating positive change in the implementation of the various solutions.
The blog is targeted towards anyone who shares an interest in art and design, and who wants to know more or gain fresh insight into some of these principles and concepts. The site also aims to target, aspirant artists and designers, as well as industry experts. Interaction is encouraged, you are welcome to comment or send feedback.
